Watch the Trailer for J. Cole's HBO Special 'Forest Hills Drive: Homecoming'

  /  12.06.2015

J. Cole returns home to Fayetteville, North Carolina in his HBO special “J. Cole Forest Hills Drive: Homecoming.” In the 60-second trailer, Cole reflects on his roots as he prepares for his sold-out show at Crown Coliseum.

“My dream for Fayetteville is that people here can wake up and realize that anything is possible of you want it,” says the 30-year-old rapper. “Growing up it felt like there wasn’t no opportunity here. I would come back home and it’s just that feeling like there’s no place like home.”

“J. Cole Forest Hills Drive: Homecoming” premieres Saturday, Jan. 9, at 10 p.m. The 90-minute special, part concert film, part backstage pass, tells his compelling life story through his own words and music, and through the observations of those who know him best.

Cole will perform all 13 songs from his third album, 2014 Forest Hills Drive, with special appearances from Jay Z and Drake.
