The “Spotlight” is on MGK. After unleashing last month’s blood-filled “Alpha Omega” clip, Machine Gun Kelly shines in the video for the latest single off General Admission.

Director Jr. Saint’s black-and-white visual features a cinematic intro followed by a performance piece where Kelly raps with a bloody nose. Rocking a black leather jacket and slicked back hair, he raps about Kurt Cobain, drugs, and demons coming to life.

The vid is simple, but that’s the point, according to the Lace Up MC. “simplicity [ when it’s done the right way ] says so much,” he tweeted. “usually when i do videos, i try to create a visual metaphor so that it doesn’t just stop at what you see. there’s layers beneath the surface.”

In the clip, the Cleveland spitter is also a one-man-band, appearing as the MC, the guitarist, and the pianist. Watch Kelly take the “Spotlight” below.
