A$AP Ferg Freestyles Over Wu-Tang Clan's 'Triumph'

  /  03.23.2016

In anticipation of his sophomore album Always Strive and Prosper, due April 22, A$AP Ferg is on a major promo run.

During a recent visit to Los Angeles’ Power 106, the Trap Lord showed off his freestyle skills as part of “Breakfast Bars” for “The Cruz Show.” Over Wu-Tang Clan’s “Triumph” and Jadakiss’ “Put Ya Hands Up” instrumentals, Ferg shares his “dreams of fucking an R&B bitch” before referencing Madonna and Rihanna.

Beyond his freestyle, the “Let It Bang” rapper also spoke with San Francisco’s KMEL about his album. Sporting a ripped-up Waiting to Exhale T-shirt and cargo pants, Ferg opened up about his bond with Chris Brown (who’s set to appear on “I Love You” off A.S.A.P.).

According to Ferg, he met C. Breezy before he started rapping. At the time, he was designing belts for celebrities and Brown was one of his clients.

“I think it’s dope that I worked with him because he supported me before I made the music,” Ferg explained. “There’s a deeper appreciation there. I don’t even think he thinks about it on this level because we’re really good friends.”

During the talk, Fergivicious also discussed Kehlani, HBO’s “Animals,” and his love for Missy Elliott. He went on to compare working with Madonna to “old cougar sex” and said he’s still looking for a Taylor Swift collab.

While with KMEL, the Hood Pope also learned how to “speak emoji.” Watch him learn how to say “toast to the gods” using only emojis.
