Are Yeezy and Bieber’s empires uniting? It appears so, as Kanye West has reportedly hired Justin Bieber’s manager, Scooter Braun.
The two have been working together for approximately a month, but Braun’s role is unclear. While Billboard claims Braun will co-manage Mr. West along with Yeezy’s longtime rep Izzy Zivkovic, TMZ reports that he will mainly be in charge of organizing ‘Ye’s staff.
Both TMZ and Billboard also report that there is “no formal management agreement” in place.
The West and Bieber connection has been in headlines recently. Last week, Yeezus attended two “Purpose World Tour” shows in Los Angeles. The duo also took some photos together, fueling rumors of future collaborations. They previously worked together on the remix to “Runaway Love.”
The news follows February’s The Life of Pablo and ‘Ye’s announcement of two more albums in 2016. According to Billboard, TLOP will be made available on streaming services including Spotify and Apple Music as soon as tomorrow despite Kanye’s claims to the contrary in the past.
Of course, Mr. West’s empire also includes fashion and he’s reportedly working on five more Yeezy seasons this year.
