Puff Daddy takes it back to ’94 in the house party-themed video for “You Could Be My Lover” featuring Ty Dolla $ign and Gizzle, off last year’s MMM LP.
The visual is a modern one, filled with gorgeous models in a lovely and luxurious home, but it also has a throwback in it. Fans with a keen eye will recognize Diddy’s poolside jersey is actually the same one Notorious B.I.G. rocked in his “Juicy” video.
The celebratory clip also features an intro, where an overjoyed Puff prances around his Los Angeles home without a care in the world. That intro is actually soundtracked by MMM‘s hilarious “Happily Ever After” interlude.
Just yesterday, Diddy announced his upcoming Bad Boy reunion concert, set to take place May 20 at Brooklyn’s Barclays Center. The event, scheduled a day before what would be Biggie’s 44th birthday, is slated to feature Jay Z and Mary J. Blige, as well as former Bad Boy artists like Lil’ Kim, Ma$e, and Faith Evans.
