New Music: Fabolous - 'Black Mamba (Freestyle)'

  /  04.14.2016

Fab celebrates the greats. Following Kobe Bryant’s star-studded farewell game, Fabolous unleashes a “Black Mamba” tribute inspired by Jay Z’s “Encore.”

Sampling Hov’s Black Album cut as his template, Loso reflects on conversations he shared with the Lakers legend throughout his career.

“I talked with him twice at the games,” he rhymes. “Once at the ‘Trade It All’ video, I’d say we had a nice lil’ exchange of words / He said, ‘You gotta come and spice up the game’ / Say word? / Kobe giving me advice is insane, absurd.”

Fab celebrated Mamba Day with a series of Instagram posts. “Some say he was the next generation’s Michael Jordan,” he wrote. “I say he was just his generation’s Kobe Bryant.”

Kobe capped off the celebratory night with 60 points in a victory over the Utah Jazz.
