Watch Chris Brown's 'Welcome to My Life' Documentary Trailer

  /  04.17.2016

Chris Brown gets candid. While he’s shied away from the media, the R&B superstar offers a glimpse into his life in his autobiographical documentary Welcome to My Life. In the nearly three-minute trailer, Breezy reflects on his quick rise to stardom and the fallout he faced after his assault on Rihanna.

The doc, directed by Andrew Sandler and produced by Riveting Entertainment, is comprised of old and new interviews and commentary from Brown’s friends and family including his mother Joyce Hawkins, Jamie Foxx, Usher, DJ Khaled, Jennifer Lopez, Rita Ora, and Mary J. Blige.

In addition to highlighting his success, it delves into darker times in his life, including his tumultuous relationship with Rihanna (“It was like a fairytale”), which led to drug use and even suicidal thoughts (“I was thinking about suicide and everything else”).

“I went from being on top of the world, No. 1 songs, being kinda like America’s sweetheart to being public enemy No. 1,” says Brown.

Welcome to My Life does not yet have a release date. In the meantime, you can catch Breezy on his “One Hell of a Nite” tour through Europe, beginning May 22 in Frankfurt, Germany.
