Birdman Teases 'Respek' Single

  /  05.02.2016

Birdman isn’t finished and he isn’t done. After releasing a line of “Respek” merchandise, the Cash Money boss capitalizes on his controversial “Breakfast Club” interview once again and this time, it’s with music.

Stunna shared a snippet of his upcoming “Respek” single with a strip club-inspired video clip. The track features some lines Birdman said in his interview with DJ Envy, Angela Yee, and Charlamagne Tha God.

“Where I’m from,” he says in the snippet. “It’s respect until disrespect. Then it’s total disrespect and it’s fuck everybody… I ain’t gonna say it no mo’.”

That continues in Birdman’s verse, where he quotes the slogans he made popular during the brief Q&A.

“Put some respect when you mention my name,” he rhymes. “You talking about killers, but you ain’t no killer / Pull up on you, it’s game time, ni**a.”

The snippet comes ahead of his upcoming solo album Ms. Gladys, which is due June 24, and his Rich Gang effort Rich Gang 2: The Lifestyle, set to drop July 1.
