“Dammn Baby!” With her first child on the way, mom-to-be Janet Jackson delivers a brand new video for her dance-heavy single off last year’s Unbreakable.
The black-and-white clip allows Janet to break it down, proving that she’s still got the dance moves that made her iconic. “It’s all about love,” sings Ms. Jackson. “And how we ain’t gonna never let words get in the way.”
Produced by Dem Jointz, Terry Lewis, Jimmy Jam, and Jackson, “Dammn Baby” is just the latest banger off her seventh No. 1 album. Unbreakable also featured the J. Cole-assisted “No Sleeep” and “BURNITUP!” with Missy Elliott.
Interestingly enough, it arrives along with news that Janet is pregnant with her first child. The 49-year-old singer, who turns 50 on May 16, recently postponed her “Unbreakable World Tour” to start a family with her husband Wissam Al Mana.
“My husband and I are planning our family, so I’m going to have to delay the tour,” she told fans last month. “Please, if you can try to understand that it’s important that I do this now. I have to rest up, doctor’s orders. But I have not forgotten about you. I will continue to tour as soon as I possibly can.”
