Desiigner Performs Future's 'I Got the Keys'

Ever since he was introduced to the masses, Desiigner has been fielding criticism for sounding like Future. Now, he’s taking the comparisons head on.

The “Panda” hitmaker was recently filmed at a club performing over DJ Khaled’s Future and Jay Z-assisted single “I Got the Keys,” singing along to Hendrix’s chorus while delivering his own ad-libs in between.

While Desiigner appears to be unbothered, Future isn’t flattered by the comparisons. At a concert earlier this year, he told a crowd that they must be Desiigner fans because they weren’t making enough noise. And in his recent Rolling Stone cover, he claimed he didn’t want any mention of the “Panda” rapper in the story.

But none of this has halted Desiigner’s success. “Panda” went to No. 1 before any Future single reached that apex (his highest-charting single has been The Weeknd-assisted “Low Life” at No. 18).

The 19-year-old rapper also recently released his mixtape New English and announced his G.O.O.D. Music debut The Life of Desiigner with co-signs from Kanye West and Pusha T.
