Producer StreetRunner continues to unearth Lil Wayne recordings with remastered releases. This time, he unveils “Heavenly Father.”

The track may sound familiar to some fans because it’s an alternate version of the recently leaked “Pray to the Lord.” It has Weezy’s soulful lyrics and his cries for help, but features a different beat.

“I produced this version to give the song more of a epic feel,” explained StreetRunner. “The ‘Heavenly Father’ track with just the hook featuring Lil Wayne later went on to become a Fat Joe song on The Darkside Vol. 1 album titled ‘Heavenly Father.’ Here’s the mixed and mastered solo version of Lil Wayne’s ‘Heavenly Father.'”

Wayne has new material of his own to release, though it may come in written form. Recently, he unveiled the cover for his upcoming jail memoir, Gone ‘Til November: A Journal of Rikers Island.
