New Music: Tinashe - 'Superlove'

  /  07.14.2016

Tinashe brings the “Superlove” on her new single. After releasing a series of songs including the Chris Brown-assisted “Player,” “Party Favors” with Young Thug, and “Ride of Your Life,” the R&B songstress takes it back to the ’90s on the dance floor-ready jam, produced by the hitmaking duo of The-Dream and Tricky Stewart.

She shouts out Uncle Luke and even does some rapping while professing her love to a special someone. “They will never love you like I love you / Say you’ll never take my love away,” sings Tinashe, while The-Dream provides background vocals.

Her long-awaited sophomore album Joyride, the follow-up to 2014’s Aquarius, is expected to feature contributions from Dr. Luke, Max Martin, Hit-Boy, Dev Hynes, Travis Scott, Nic Nac, and Boi-1da.

“I want it to be exciting, I want it to keep you on your toes, I want people to not know what to expect,” she told Dazed last year. “It’s the perfect title for this point in my life… I feel like I’m on a joyride all the time. It’s dangerous, it’s an adventure, it’s emotional.”
