Chance the Rapper Performs 'Summer Friends' on 'GMA'
Chance the Rapper is having a great morning.
After nabbing his first Billboard cover, the Chicago spitter appeared on “Good Morning America” today, delivering a rousing performance of his Coloring Book standout “Summer Friends.”
Backed by a band, Lil Chano delivered an ode to the bonds he formed with Chatham boys in the summertime as a kid.

But that wasn’t all for Chance. He also appeared on the program to discuss his independent success and his work with youth.
“I come from a family of organizers, abolitionists, and social workers, a long line of people who worked in the community,” he explained. “It always felt integral to me, in terms of becoming a man, to be a person of the people and put in work.”
