Drake goes “Back to Back” with more Meek Mill shots.
Just one day after calling the MMG rapper a “pussy” in D.C., the 6 God unloaded more disses and this time, he did it in his foe’s hometown, Philadelphia.
During last night’s “Summer Sixteen” show at the Wells Fargo Center, Drizzy changed his “Back to Back” lyrics once more. “I did another one,” he bragged. “I did another one / I even did this shit in Philly, man, I never run.”
Drake—clad in a Sixers jersey—didn’t stop after the song ended. “Just remember,” he told Meek. “When you watch that video over and over tonight, it’s not about your city. I love your city. You did that shit to your motherfu**in’ self, boy.”
That wasn’t all. Drake also delivered another jab, changing the lyrics to “Still Here.”
“Me and all my ni**as doing well,” he rapped. “Man, you not really from Philly and they can tell, ni**a.”
While the crowd reaction seemed to support Drake’s disses, others weren’t happy. Outside of the venue, some men who claimed to be Dreamchasers affiliates released a series of videos threatening and mocking Drake. Meanwhile, as Complex reports, Meek responded with a since-deleted caption on Instagram.
“When u run out the backdoor wit 12 and use the ‘old man’ to save you,” he reportedly wrote. “I’m done. You had Philadelphia swat with you. Ima go ahead and hang it up with these suckas! Had y’all tucked back in there for hrs lol. #stillrunning. I only came to talk lol.”
Later, he added a different IG caption. “THE TRAP WILL B FOREVER LIT,” he wrote. “THEY MAD THAT COMMERCIAL TALK CANT EFFECT THE KID! 😎 MY HOOD WAS OUT LAST NIGHT! DC4 SEPT.”
For his part, Drake offered a cryptic post on Instagram. “I will never develop an addiction to fiction,” he wrote. “It’s for getting at the truth when the truth isn’t sufficient for the truth.”
