The Weeknd has been laying low, but he has new music on the horizon.
The Canadian crooner unleashed a teaser of what appears to be a collaboration with Cashmere Cat. The pitch-black video, which he posted on Instagram, allows listeners to hone in on Abel’s trademark vocals over electronic sounds.

Leaving mystery alive, The Weeknd only added a small cat emoji to the post’s caption. This, of course, has led fans to believe it’s a snippet of Cashmere Cat’s upcoming single “Wild Love,” due Friday, a rumor fueled by a recent tweet and photo of the twosome in the studio.

Others have also wondered if this could be a teaser for Abel’s upcoming Daft Punk collab. The Weeknd has been hinting about joining forces with the French duo on Facebook.
Although the snippet’s identity remains unconfirmed, Abel is working on the follow-up to his sophomore album, last year’s Beauty Behind the Madness.
