Isaiah Rashad Taps Kendrick Lamar, Jay Rock for 'The Sun's Tirade'
Isaiah Rashad is warming up for the release of his upcoming album The Sun’s Tirade by providing its sizzling tracklisting.
The 17-song effort comes with some assistance from Zay’s fellow Top Dawg entertainers. Kendrick Lamar comes through on the Zacari-assisted “Wat’s Wrong.” Elsewhere, Jay Rock pops up on the Hugh Augustine-featured “Tity and Dolla” and SZA appears on “Stuck in the Mud.”
Production for the project comes by way of Al B. Smoov, D. Sanders, DK The Punisher, and Steve Lacy, among others. TDE President Dave Free also appears as a producer for “Where U At?” but his name is crossed out.
Earlier today, Zay made headlines when he opened up about the drug and alcohol issues that almost got him dropped from TDE. “[Anthony ‘Top Dawg’ Tiffith] sent me home until I got my shit together,” he said. “I was addicted to some shit so it’s not like I don’t think about it every once in a while. I just know I got a bigger goal to do.”
The Sun’s Tirade, featuring “Park” and “Free Lunch,” is set to drop Sept. 2. See the full tracklisting below.
