Beyoncé Postpones 'Formation' Concert Due to Vocal Rest
Beyoncé isn’t quite ready to get in “Formation.”
Queen Bey has postponed the first date on the second U.S. leg of her “Formation World Tour.” The Sept. 7 show at MetLife Stadium in New Jersey has been moved to Oct. 7 due to “strict doctor’s orders for vocal rest.”
Tickets for Wednesday’s show in N.J. will remain valid and refunds are available.
Fans in other cities need not worry however, as the vocal rest is not currently affecting any other dates on the final run of the globe-spanning stadium trek, which will resume on Saturday in St. Louis.
“Formation World Tour” comes in support of Bey’s blockbuster visual album LEMONADE, which continues to impact the charts. This week, it returned to the top 10 at No. 7, selling 26,000 units.
This isn’t the first show to be postponed on the tour. Earlier this year, ‘Yoncé also rescheduled her Nashville tour date, which is still on for Oct. 2.
The journey, which began in Miami back in April, is set to continue Sept. 10 in St. Louis before hitting Los Angeles, Santa Clara, Houston, New Orleans, Atlanta, Philadelphia, and Nashville. Now, the final date comes Oct. 7 in East Rutherford, New Jersey.
