Common is a “Lovestar” on his latest single, a previously-teased collaboration with Marsha Ambrosius and PJ.
After debuting the track at ESSENCE Fest in July, the full song gets unleashed today, finding Com Sense infatuated with love.
“Our fragrance is patience,” he raps. “We can major in communication / Related like cousins, though we kissin’ though / Love can be sick or medicinal / A doctor of it / You gots to love it / God body language, I be spittin’ while we fuckin’.”
Over mellow production, backed by a melodic chorus, Common declares that “being in love is never out of style.”
“Lovestar” is set to appear on the follow-up to 2014’s Nobody’s Smiling, which was originally due this month. For now, enjoy the romance on “Lovestar” below.
