Kid Ink blasts off once again with Rocketshipshawty 2.

Released today after several teasers, RSS2 is a 16-track effort featuring Casey Veggies, Nef the Pharaoh, King Los, Jeremih, and Verse Simmonds, among others.

What can fans expect from the sequel? The Batgang boss says this tape is an attempt to go “back to the basics.”

“This tape is partially for everyone who says I changed or went mainstream… but mostly for my loyal fams lol,” he tweeted. “Feelin like its my first mixtape right now.”

RSS2 might be a return to the basics, but it could also be a warm-up for Ink’s next album. In February, he told Rap-Up that he’s planning to show another side of himself on his next LP.

“With this next album,” he said, “I’ma try to move on to a different Kid Ink aspect, a different vibe, and see how I can gain some new fans and still please my old fans with being me.”

RSS2 is the follow-up to the original Rocketshipshawty, which dropped back in 2012. Stream the new edition below.
