Dave East is on a whole different “Type of Time.”
Fresh off the release of his latest mixtape Kairi Chanel and Def Jam/Mass Appeal deal, the New York rapper reflects on life’s changes in the video for “Type of Time.”
Overlooking the city that raised him, Dave looks pensive as he spits about his rise to prominence.
“Prince of my city,” he rhymes. “What’s that about? / They heard I could spit, trying to rap it out / They reach out they hand, trying to dap it out / I go in my zone and I’m blacking out.”
Released last month, Kairi Chanel features a slew of stars, including 2 Chainz, Cam’ron, Fabolous, Beanie Sigel, Sevyn Streeter, and The Game.
