Backup Dancer for Rihanna & Beyoncé Found Safe After Going Missing
Shirlene Quigley, a 32-year-old backup dancer who’s worked with the likes of Rihanna and Beyoncé, has been found safe after being reported as a missing person.
On Tuesday (Oct. 25), the North Bergen Police Department confirmed the news through a post on Instagram.
“After an extensive search by North Bergen Police Department Detectives in cooperation with the NYPD, we have located SHIRLENE QUIGLEY,” the statement reads. “She is safe and at a medical facility which location is undisclosed at this time. North Bergen Police Detectives have contacted her father and he is in route from Los Angeles to reunite with his daughter. We are very pleased with this outcome. We want to thank the New York City Police Department for their tremendous amount of cooperation in this matter.”

It remains unclear how and where Quigley was located.
The dancer, who resides in North Bergen, N.J., went missing on Saturday. She had been shopping at a Chelsea bridal store, according to the New York Daily News. Later, she was reportedly spotted near the Port Authority bus terminal at around 1 a.m. on Sunday.
Upon her return, Rihanna and Missy Elliott were among those happy for her safety. “God is so merciful,” RiRi wrote on Instagram. “Happy you’re alive and safe @shirlenequigley.”

The dancer’s father told the Daily News he was also thankful for well wishers.
“Obviously, we’re grateful for all the love and prayers that were out there for her,” he said. “She’s safe.”
