New Music: Alicia Keys - 'Holy War'

Alicia Keys is HERE with a new gem. This time, she unleashes “Holy War” off her forthcoming album.

Over acoustic guitar strings and potent percussion, A. Keys delivers a message to her fans.

“If war is holy and sex is obscene,” she sings. “Then we got it twisted in this lucid dream / Baptized in boundaries, schooled in sin / Divided by difference, sexuality and skin.”

Throughout the song’s four minutes, Keys is able to explain how boundaries need to be broken for unity to shine.

“We can heal each other and feel each other,” she sings. “We can break these walls between each other / Baby, blow by blow and brick by brick / Keep yourself open.”

“Holy War” follows a string of new tracks from Keys, including “Back to Life,” “Hallelujah,” “In Common,” and “Blended Family (What You Do For Love)” featuring A$AP Rocky.
