Dave Chappelle & A Tribe Called Quest Tapped for 'SNL'

  /  11.04.2016

Dave Chappelle and A Tribe Called Quest will soon be comin’ at fans live from New York on a Saturday night.

“Saturday Night Live” has announced that the famed comic will act as the host on Nov. 12 with musical guests ATCQ.

Fans (including celebs) are excited about the announcement. Wale tweeted: “This is Amazing,” followed by flame emojis and Rashida Jones said her “brain is exploding with excitement.”

This marks a highly-anticipated return to sketch comedy for Chappelle following his critically-acclaimed and beloved run as the star of Comedy Central’s “Chappelle’s Show.”

Meanwhile, Tribe will be celebrating the release of their final album, We Got It From Here, Thank You for Your Service, which will feature every member of the group as well as appearances by André 3000, Kendrick Lamar, Elton John, Jack White, and Busta Rhymes. The project arrives a day before their scheduled “SNL” appearance.

Before that happens, however, Solange Knowles is set to be the musical guest this weekend with host Benedict Cumberbatch.
