New Music: Papoose feat. Remy Ma - 'Black Love (Remix)'
Meet the Mackies. Art imitates life as Remy Ma joins her husband Papoose on the remix to “Black Love.”
Offering playful banter, the collaboration allows the longtime couple to show their affection. “Gives me T.L.C. and he don’t creep,” raps Remy. “My best friend, I ain’t got a secret he won’t keep.”
Sampling Ramsay Foster’s “Mystic Brew,” which was famously used on A Tribe Called Quest’s “Electric Relaxation,” Papoose brags about his wife. “Ahead ’cause we both getting bread, whole wheat,” he raps. “Disagree? We gon’ patch it up slowly.”
Pap and Remy have been married since 2008 and stayed together throughout Remy’s incarceration. The two have since showcased their relationship on “Love & Hip Hop: New York.”
Before appearing on the remix to “Black Love,” Remy was also Pap’s leading lady in the music video, which dropped in August.
