2016 American Music Awards: Red Carpet
It was all about Drake at the 2016 American Music Awards. The 6 God went into the night with a record-setting 13 nominations, besting Michael Jackson’s 11 in 1984. But prior to the big show, the stars dazzled on the red carpet.
A pregnant Ciara, who’s expecting her first child with husband Russell Wilson, stepped out in a black turtleneck and ruffled black-and-white dress. Tinashe was stunning in a Michael Costello gown while co-hosting the pre-show on E!, and Keke Palmer took it back to the ’90s with her throwback Natalia Fedner dress.
Ariana Grande was sexy in white Alexander McQueen slacks and a vintage lingerie top ahead of her “Side to Side” performance with Nicki Minaj.
The fellas also held it down. Ty Dolla $ign, nominated alongside Fifth Harmony for Collaboration of the Year, looked like a rock star in a leather studded motorcycle jacket, wide-brimmed hat, and round shades. G-Eazy was dapper in a black suit, while Rick Ross announced his album title, Rather You Than Me, on his sweatshirt.
