Bruno Mars Opens AMAs with '24K Magic'
Ooh kill ’em! Bruno Mars brought the “Magic” to the American Music Awards.
With his pinky ring up to the moon, the hitmaking machine and his funked up band opened Sunday’s show at L.A.’s Microsoft Theater with a crowd-pleasing performance of “24K Magic,” the title track off his brand new album.
Ciara, Lady Gaga, and DJ Khaled got out of their seats and danced along following an introduction from hosts Gigi Hadid and Jay Pharoah. Meanwhile, Bruno kept things so playa, gliding across the stage with some serious Michael Jackson-influenced dance moves during a breakdown.
Mars’ opening set is a taste of things to come from next year’s “24K Magic World Tour,” which starts March 28 in Antwerp, Belgium before hitting the U.S. in July.
