The Weeknd Performs 'Starboy' at AMAs

On a night filled with stars, The Weeknd delivered “Starboy.”

Emerging from a prism-like cave filled with lights, the Canadian crooner performed the title track from his highly-anticipated forthcoming LP. The cave changed colors, going from purple to red, from silver to blue.

“Look what you’ve done,” sang Abel. “I’m a motherfuckin’ starboy.”

Drake, who once considered The Weeknd an affiliate and later seemed to be his foe, was seen singing along along to the singer, who helped him craft 2011’s Take Care.

The Weeknd’s album Starboy drops on Black Friday with appearances by Lana Del Rey, Daft Punk, Future, and Kendrick Lamar.

Next year, Abel will take the show on the road with his “Starboy: Legend of the Fall Tour,” which starts Feb. 17 in Stockholm, Sweden and runs through June 9 in Cincinnati, Ohio.
