Fergie Performs 'Life Goes On' on 'Today'

Nearly a month after dropping “Life Goes On,” Fergie brought the empowering track to life as part of the Citi Concert Series on “Today.”

Clad in a colorful leather jacket and hip-hugging black pants, the Black Eyed Peas songstress delivered the independent female anthem.

“Life goes on with or without you,” she sings. “So do you / What ya gonna do? / You could go or you could stay / Who cares anyway?”

Backed by a band that includes a sampoña player, the Dutchess also flexed her rhyme skills. Meanwhile, fans in attendance rocked along while holding up signs with shoutouts to loved ones at home.

“Life Goes On” follows a bit of a comeback run for Fergie, who also dropped her “M.I.L.F.$” video in July, featuring cameos from Ciara, Kim Kardashian West, and Chrissy Teigen. In August, she also participated in BEP’s “Where’s the Love” remake.

Fergie’s follow-up to 2006’s The Duchess is still waiting on a release date. For now, watch her perform “Life Goes On” below.
