Watch Gucci Mane Perform for NPR's Tiny Desk Concert

  /  12.12.2016

After invading SantaCon over the weekend, Gucci Mane took over NPR’s “Tiny Desk” concert series.

On Monday (Dec. 12), Guwop joined the celebrated performance platform with a trio of songs, all backed by Zaytoven on the piano.

Kicking things off with “First Day Out,” Gucci celebrated freedom from prison. Then, he relished success on “Waybach,” and brought it all home with “Last Time,” though Travis Scott couldn’t be there for the set.

Upon its release, NPR said that Zwizzop was invited to participate in the series due to an impressive 2016. “We asked him to come to NPR because we wanted to be a part of the victory tour he’s been on this year,” reads a description of the performance.

Guwop seemed to enjoy himself, smiling throughout the clip. “Some kinda way, we need to take one giant picture with all these beautiful people,” said Gucci. “I appreciate y’all. Thank y’all…We appreciate y’all letting us come over and rock with y’all.”

Other recent “Tiny Desk” performers include Common, Saul Williams, Anderson .Paak, Anthony Hamilton, and Ro James.

As for Gucci Mane, the ATLien has already unleashed Everybody Looking and Woptober this year. Now, he’s prepping for The Return of East Atlanta Santa on Dec. 16.

Part of that preparation will include fan appreciation phone calls. Over the weekend, East Atlanta Santa launched his “12 Days of Brickmas” giveaway, in which lucky fans are selected from Instagram. The 12 fortunate participants will receive an Apple Music subscription and Beats headphones, as well as a FaceTime call from the Wopster himself.

Watch East Atlanta Santa make Decem-burr even more special for the first winner of the “12 Days of Brickmas” giveaway below.
