Lil Wayne spent the holidays doing good. The rapper brought cheer to patients at the Children’s Hospital of New Orleans earlier this week.
“Wayne visited Children’s Hospital of New Orleans the day after Christmas while he was at home for the holidays,” Weezy’s rep told XXL. “The purpose of the visit wasn’t for any special reason or for publicity. He just had it on his heart to visit these kids in hopes to brighten up their holiday a little more.”
During his visit, Tunechi met a young man named Kiron who was paralyzed after he was shot in the spine.
Earlier this month, Wayne was involved in controversy when Martin Shkreli claimed he purchased his long-awaited Carter V LP for an undisclosed amount.
Tunechi’s camp confirmed that the song Shkreli played on Periscope is from the project, but claim that Wayne has yet to submit his album to Cash Money Records. They’ve since reportedly launched an investigation into how the album or part of the album landed in Shkreli’s hands. The album remains at the heart of Weezy’s feud with his longtime label.
More recently, Wayne also mourned the death of Adam Ziegler, his longtime skateboarding coach. “RIP Adam Z,” wrote Weezy on social media.
