New Music: Tinie Tempah feat. Tinashe - 'Text From Your Ex'

From the U.K. to the U.S., Tinie Tempah and Tinashe have joined forces. The result is their new collaboration, “Text From Your Ex,” off the British MC’s forthcoming third album, Youth.

Tinashe reveals the song’s premise on the catchy chorus. “I got a text from your ex, boy,” she sings. “She said to look through your texts, boy / I’m not the kind of girl to snoop but I had a feeling too / And now I’m looking for my next boy.”

Tinie offers his take on the situation with a rapid-fire verse. “There you go, gettin’ loose again,” he raps. “You’re trying to win, but you lose again.”

Earlier this week, Tempah also released “How to make an album: Episode 1,” a portion of a docu-series about his forthcoming LP, Youth, which is due Jan. 27. Meanwhile, Tinashe is gearing up for her oft-delayed album Joyride, which is set to arrive later this year.
