Keyshia Cole, Remy Ma, & French Montana Perform 'You' on 'The Real'

  /  02.07.2017

After opening up about her latest single and forthcoming album in an interview with Rap-Up, Keyshia Cole brings “You” to “The Real.”

KC opened up the performance on the daytime talk show dressed in all black. Backed by four dancers, the R&B songstress let it all out, shutting the door on a “lame” and disloyal ex.

Matching her “bestie” in all black, Remy Ma emerged from the back of the stage for the second verse. Rocking an iced-out Terror Squad pendant, Reminisce got some support from Cole along the way. “Tell ’em friend,” KC ad-libbed mid-verse.

French Montana also emerged with his joke-filled rhymes, including a jab at First Lady Melania Drumpf’s plagiarized Republican National Convention speech. “You keep coming with them same lines like Drumpf’s wife,” he rapped, dressed in all black, too.

That wasn’t all for Keyshia on “The Real.” Sipping tea, the powerhouse vocalist discussed her nixed marriage to Daniel Gibson and their newfound bond.

“We’re friends,” she said. “We’re co-parenting pretty amazingly for our son. I’m really proud of us both, honestly, all three of us, actually. We’re all trying to work it out. It’s tough but we do it for [our son].” Despite their peace, she confirmed that it’s “over” for good.

But that doesn’t mean Keyshia isn’t looking for a new lover. In fact, Remy says she’s on the search for Cole’s new beau now. “We’re taking numbers,” explained the “All the Way Up” star. “She put me in charge of finding the person for her.”

Last month, Keyshia debuted the song on “Jimmy Kimmel Live!” and spoke with Rap-Up about her forthcoming album 1111 Reset.

“It’s just about realizing once you’re done with something, it’s time to move on and work on yourself and build yourself,” she explained. “That’s the whole vibe I felt during this process.”
