Dirty Projectors taps D∆WN for “Cool Your Heart,” a multi-layered single co-written by Solange Knowles off the group’s forthcoming self-titled LP.

The Noel Paul and Stefan Moore-directed visual is a nighttime walk through a dark hillside road with Dave Longstreth and Dawn Richard. The two take strides forwards and backwards with dizzying special effects before driving away, all while singing their genre-bending cut.

“Want to be where you are,” sings D∆WN, sporting a fur coat over a see-through blouse. “You’re the right one / Wanna be where you are, cool your heart.”

“Cool Your Heart” was penned “during breaks from sessions for Solange’s album,” A Seat at the Table. Longstreth was a major contributor to the critically-acclaimed project, working on tracks like “Mad,” “Don’t You Wait,” “F.U.B.U.,” “Don’t Wish Me Well,” and “Scales.”

Richard is coming off a big 2016, which included the release of her Redemption album. Meanwhile, Dirty Projectors’ self-titled album is due Feb. 24, featuring “Cool Your Heart,” “Keep Your Name,” “Little Bubble,” and “Up in Hudson.”
