Bruno Mars Performs 'That's What I Like' at Grammys

  /  02.12.2017

Bruno Mars gave fans what they liked during a smooth performance of “That’s What I Like” at the 59th Annual Grammy Awards on Sunday (Feb. 12).

Sporting a leather tracksuit and joined by his Hooligans and live band, the multi-layered pop superstar unleashed his R&B standout from 24K Magic. After showing off his trademark vocals, he shared his debonaire swag while strutting towards the crowd. “Can I break it down?” he asked, making Jennifer Lopez nod in agreement.

“Let’s talk to the ladies for a second,” he said. “I see you ladies in your brand new dresses. Some of y’all still got the tag on it, but it’s cool. You want options. I get it. What’s up girls? Can we break it down for you on live TV?”

This was a callback to R&B groups from the ’90s, something that was also purposeful during the creation of 24K Magic. “It’s what we want to bring to the table musically,” he told Beats 1 last year. “You hear these ’90s influences on the whole album, really, but ’24K Magic’ is because of West Coast hip-hop: Dr. Dre, DJ Quik, Suga Free. This is what we grew up on. Listening to them, it was at a time when it was okay to party, to be flashy, to get on the dance floor.”

Party, be flashy, and get on the dance floor with Bruno Mars and his band below.
