Drake Gets Flower Tattoo to Celebrate 'More Life'

  /  03.18.2017

Prior to dropping More Life, Drake unveils a new tattoo, inspired by his latest project.

Swedish tattoo artist Niki Norberg shared an image of the new ink on Instagram. It’s a tattoo of a pink hibiscus flower with a bee at the center, which appears on Drizzy’s right shoulder.

The More Life connection is clear. The playlist has been promoted by the flower emoji and the latest OVOSOUND Radio promo pic features a bee.

Billed as a playlist, More Life is set to premiere today during OVOSOUND Radio on Beats 1 at 3 p.m. PST/6 p.m. EST.

Initially announced in October of 2016, the oft-delayed project has been compared to a mixtape. “It’s just an evolution of the mixtape,” Drake recently explained. “It was getting tough to be like, ‘I’m dropping a mixtape but it’s for sale on iTunes.’ It was like, ‘Oh, that’s your album.’ I didn’t want people to say this is my next album. Views was my album. This is something that, after Views, I was just inspired. I wanted to keep the music flowing.”
