New Music: Offset - 'Monday'
It’s going up on a “Monday.” Offset celebrates the start of the week with a new slapper that’s an ode to convertibles and money-making moves.
“I ain’t playing no more,” he says over the OG Parker and Deko production. “Different mindset, different motivations. I’m trying to get more money. I’m not satisfied. I want everything. I want it all.”
From the moment he kicks off the track’s first verse, one third of Migos brags about his cash and his weekly routine. “I got money across the country,” he boasts. “Fucking on a thot every Monday / Drop my top, let the roof loose / Look at these diamonds, Fruit Loops / Ride like the president, bulletproof / Shoot it all you want, you won’t get it through.”
Offset is coming off Migos’ platinum-selling Culture LP and some crowd-pleasing sets at Coachella with Quavo and Takeoff. This year, he’s also released solo work with Cardi B (“Lick”) and Young Thug (“Guwop”).
