Bless up! In honor of Mother’s Day, DJ Khaled paid tribute to his fiancée Nicole Tuck on the VH1 special “Dear Mama: An Event to Honor Moms.”
As part of the celebration, Khaled invited viewers into his home and showed Nicole feeding and reading to their son Asahd. “Today is a very special day because we’re honoring my queen and the mother of my son ’cause she the best,” he said.
Later, from the stage, Khaled continued to shower praise upon his girlfriend of 14 years. “There’s no words that can explain how much I love you,” he said. “You and God gave me my biggest blessing, my son, Asahd. So, me and Asahd want to honor you today.”
Khaled, who recently nabbed his first No. 1 with “I’m the One,” wasn’t the only one honoring a special mom on the show. The series also included tributes from Taraji P. Henson, Maxwell, Kelly Rowland, Jodeci, Pitbull, Ludacris, and Chris Paul.
Another one of the show’s highlights was Mary J. Blige surprising her mother with Gladys Knight’s performance of “Midnight Train to Georgia.”
Co-hosted by La La and Anthony Anderson, “Dear Mama” aired on VH1 this past Monday. See additional highlights from the show below.
