New Music: Diplo feat. Justin Bieber, Young Thug, & Rich the Kid - 'Bank Roll'
Diplo has the “Bank Roll.” Tapping Justin Bieber, Rich the Kid, and Young Thug, the Major Lazer producer unleashes a brand new money-making anthem.
“Roll up,” raps Bieber. “If you don’t smoke weed, baby, so what / If you drank too much, baby, throw up, then po’ up / It’s your first time, you need to grow up / Got dinner reservations at BOA / Yeah, the cameras always flashing when we show up / Gotta look fly, ’cause you know they’re taking photos.”
Produced by Diplo, Boaz, and King Henry, “Bank Roll” has an uptempo bounce that allows Rick the Kid to boast: “Walking with a pocket full of broccoli / Bitch, I’m Rich like I hit the fucking lottery.” Later, Thugger adds: “I’ve been rich for the last five years, no, I cannot pipe down.”
“Bank Roll” could be the rap song that Diplo teased back in February. “We actually have a crazy track that we never put out with him,” the producer said at the time. “[It’s] a rap song too, that you might see in the summer time.”
The song allows Bieber and Diplo to continue their collaborative streak, which has included “Cold Water” and “Where Are Ü Now.”
For Bieber, the latest Diplo collab comes on the heels of DJ Khaled’s “I’m the One” and Luis Fonsi and Daddy Yankee’s “Despacito,” which are currently the No. 1 and No. 3 songs in the country, respectively. Meanwhile, Diplo’s prepping Major Lazer’s Music Is the Weapon for release this year.
