Beyoncé Celebrates Twins at 'Carter Push Party'

  /  05.21.2017

Beyoncé keeps “Shining” with all of this twinnin’. On Saturday (May 20), the global superstar, who’s expecting twin babies, celebrated with friends and family at her “Carter Push Party” baby shower in Beverly Hills.

It was a star-studded bash with guests like Kelly Rowland, Serena Williams, Michelle Williams, and La La Anthony at a private residence that was once owned by Madonna, according to E! News.

The Moroccan-themed event was also attended by Jay Z and Queen Bey’s mother, Tina Lawson, who shared a video from the event with the A-list guests singing “Happy Carter Push Party!” in unison.

Queen Bey took center stage at the shower, sharing her pregnant glow. Her baby bump was fully exposed and adorned by henna tattoos from an artist who was hired for the event. Meanwhile, Blue Ivy kissed and rubbed her mother’s belly throughout the day.

After the shower, an insider revealed many of the party details. “The tables had lanterns, wooden elephants, and pink and white roses for centerpieces,” said the source. “There was also a henna tattoo artist and African dancers and drummers walking around. A huge soul food buffet was served for a late lunch.”

The festivities also featured a pool party geared for kids with lifeguards, giraffe pool floats, and, of course, a lemonade bar. Guests even posed in a photo booth modeled after Bey’s famed floral pregnancy shoot.

It’s unclear when Queen Bey is expected to deliver the twins, but as TMZ points out, her father Mathew Knowles said that the babies are more than two weeks away from their due date.

Beyoncé’s “Carter Push Party” comes just one day after she shared adorable images of her family at the Museum of Ice Cream in Los Angeles, where they celebrated Mother’s Day.

While ‘Yonce was celebrating on the West Coast, LEMONADE was being acknowledged at the Peabody Awards in New York. Members of Bey’s label Parkwood Entertainment accepted the award in her honor at the ceremony, which will be televised June 2 on PBS and Fusion.
