New Music: Halsey feat. Quavo - 'Lie'
Before going on tour with PARTYNEXTDOOR, Halsey teams up with Migos’ Quavo on “Lie,” a sex-driven banger off her new album hopeless fountain kingdom.
The track, one of only three collaborations on the LP, allows Halsey to get explicit. “I gave you the messiest head,” she sings. “You give me the messiest head / Oh, you’re turnin’ red / ‘Cause I’m tryna give the impression that I get the message you wish I was dead.”
QuavoHuncho plays directly off those lyrics for his verse. “I heard what you said,” he sings in Auto-Tune. “You talked about your head game / I know that it’s fire flame / Your mouth make a hurricane.”
In addition to Quavo, hopeless fountain kingdom features Cashmere Cat (“Hopeless”) and Fifth Harmony’s Lauren Jauregui (“Strangers”).
Halsey will launch her “hopeless fountain kingdom World Tour: Installment One” on Sept. 29 with special guests PND and Charli XCX. From there, the tour will run across North America before coming to a close Nov. 22 in Cleveland.
