Fans Ridicule Madame Tussauds Beyoncé Wax Figure
Beyoncé fans are saying “no, no, no” to a Queen Bey wax figure, which is allegedly being housed at an unidentified Madame Tussauds museum.
The statue, which appears to depict a white woman, does not look like the beloved R&B star. Nevertheless, one fan seemed to think it was “FIERCE,” when he posted a photo of it on social media.
Others quickly quoted this tweet to reveal their disappointment. “Bitch Beyoncé???” said one Twitter user named @lifeofrickey. “This looks more like a Bethany or a Becca or maybe a Britney….”
“WHO?” said another fan named @MaMiizBoSS. “Lmaoooooo that’s Britney Spears.”

It is unclear where this particular wax figure is being held, but a similar one — or perhaps the same one — was once housed in Madame Tussauds Orlando, according to the museum’s Twitter account.

Madame Tussauds has made several Queen Bey-inspired wax figures in the past, including editions that they promoted online in 2013 and 2014.

UPDATE: Madame Tussauds has responded to allegations that they have “whitewashed” Beyoncé’s wax figure. According to TMZ, an unnamed source connected to the museum claims that lighting is to blame for the wax figure’s lighter complexion.
“Our talented team of sculptors takes every effort to ensure we accurately colour match all of our wax figures to the celebrity being depicted,” said the insider. “Lighting within the attraction combined with flash photography may distort and misrepresent the colour of our wax figures.”
