John Mayer Brings Out Post Malone in L.A.
After recently discovering Post Malone’s music, John Mayer invited White Iverson to join him onstage at The Forum in Inglewood, Calif. on Sunday (July 30).
With Mayer beside him, Malone rocked out to his platinum Stoney single “Congratulations.” Mötley Crüe drummer Tommy Lee also joined the duo onstage for added rockstar flair.
Earlier this month, Mayer tweeted about his newfound Posty fandom. “Wait… so basically Post Malone is fucking great? I wish I’d known this sooner,” he tweeted. “It’s fine.”
Malone quickly responded: “you’re fucking great dad.”
After spending 30 weeks on the Hot 100, where it peaked at No. 8, “Congratulations” remains in high demand. The Quavo-assisted song is currently sitting at No. 12.

Up next, Posty is working on Beerbongs & Bentleys, the follow-up to his 2016 debut.
Mayer — who’s collaborated with Frank Ocean, Kanye West, and Jhené Aiko in the past — is currently on “The Search for Everything Tour,” which is slated to run through Sept. 3.
