R. Kelly Denies Tour Cancellation
R. Kelly is responding to allegations that his “After Party Tour” dates are being cancelled due to poor ticket sales.
Taking to social media, Kelly posted a video denouncing these reports. “I want everybody around the world to know ain’t tours cancelled,” he said. “Alright? Despite what you hear, don’t believe the hype. I haven’t cancelled not one show.”
However, at least four tour dates on this tour have been cancelled, including two shows in Louisiana, one in Dallas, and one in Los Angeles. Sources told TMZ that it was all due to poor ticket sales.

L.A.’s Microsoft Theater confirmed the cancellation with a statement through its website. “We regret to inform you that the R. Kelly event on Friday, Oct. 6, 2017 at 8:00p.m. has been cancelled,” reads a statement on the site. “Refunds will be provided at point of purchase.”
The cancellations followed a BuzzFeed News report in which former members of Kelly’s inner circle accused him of holding women against their will in a cult. Kelly has denied these allegations.
Tonight, Kelly is scheduled to perform in Detroit. Then, he will finish off “The After Party Tour” in Atlanta (Aug. 25) and Memphis (Aug. 27).
