French Montana Taps Mariah Carey for 'Unforgettable' Remix
While “Unforgettable” continues to burn up the charts, French Montana is reportedly joining forces with Mariah Carey for an official remix to his top 10 smash.
Although neither artist has confirmed the collaboration, two remixes for the Swae Lee-assisted track appear in the ISRC Database, according to HipHop-N-More. One of them is labeled “Mariah Carey Remix” while the other is dubbed the “Mariah Carey Acoustic Remix.”
In 2015, Mariah was photographed in a studio with French, but the two have yet to release a collaboration.
After peaking at No. 3 on the Hot 100, “Unforgettable” is currently No. 4 on the coveted chart. The Jungle Rules single has already spawned an official Latin remix featuring Colombian superstar J Balvin.
Up next, Carey has recorded the theme song for the animated Christmas film The Star and is developing a drama series based on her life for Starz. She will also return to Las Vegas in December for a series of Christmas shows.
Earlier this year, Mariah dropped her YG-assisted single “I Don’t” and launched her Butterfly MC imprint.
