JAY-Z to Perform on 'SNL' Season Premiere

  /  08.25.2017

We stuck in La La Land.

“Saturday Night Live” is kicking off its 43rd season on Sept. 30 with Ryan Gosling as host and JAY-Z as musical guest.

This is quite the coincidence, as Gosling’s Oscar-nominated La La Land film is also the focus of Hov’s “Moonlight” off 4:44.

Jigga is no stranger to the “SNL” stage. He’s been the show’s musical guest three times, with impressive showings in 2000, 2002, and 2010. He also joined Beyoncé for “Crazy in Love” in 2003 and Justin Timberlake for “Suit & Tie” in 2013.

It’s unclear if he will bring any guests, but Lenny Kravitz, Bridget Kelly, and Mr Hudson have accompanied him on the “Saturday Night Live” stage in the past.

Young H.O. has also been the subject of “SNL” sketches, including several impersonations by former cast member Jay Pharoah. Plus, he appeared in a sketch back in 2000.

Mr. Carter is coming off the success of his chart-topping 13th album 4:44, which is currently No. 15 on the Billboard 200.
