New Music: Kodak Black - 'Time Never Mattered'

  /  08.27.2017

After popping up in Chris Brown’s star-studded “Pills & Automobiles” video, Kodak Black contemplates depression, label ties, and controversial thoughts about fellow celebrities in a loose freestyle titled “Time Never Mattered.”

Released as a grainy in-studio video, “Time Never Mattered” features Project Baby over a soulful instrumental, which Drake used on “Do Not Disturb,” while he delivers unflattering lyrics about Caitlyn Jenner, Kylie Jenner, and Tyga.

“I just found out my ni**a a hoe, I can’t believe it,” he raps. “I don’t know the gender, do I pimp her, do I G him? / You a transgender, I’m a wolf in sheep skin / So you was fakin’ ni**er? You sit down when you peein’? / Caitlyn Jenner, shoot you in yo’ legs cause you a lesbian / More stripes than Tyga, I want Kylie Jenner, tell her come with me then.”

Elsewhere on the track, the Atlantic Records rapper describes other label connections. “I still fuck with Young Money, I’m just CMB’n,” he raps. “Future want me Freeband Gang, I can’t ’cause I’m SG’n.”

Kodak Black is coming off the release of Project Baby 2, the video for “Transportin,'” and the aforementioned Breezy visual, which also features A Boogie Wit Da Hoodie and Yo Gotti. Listen to “Time Never Mattered” below.
