Watch Khalid Perform at 'MTV VMA Pre-Show'
Shortly after Cardi B performed “Bodak Yellow” at the “MTV VMA Pre-Show,” Khalid continued the festivities with a soulful medley that included “Location.”
Sporting a multi-colored Supreme jacket and denim jeans, the 19-year-old star walked through the crowd and danced around to his American Teen single. Later, he was joined by a team of cheerleaders for the finale, “Young Dumb & Broke.”
Along with Julia Michaels, Khalid is one of two finalists for this year’s Best New Artist Moon Person. The two burgeoning musicians will face off for the award during the main show this evening. SZA, Kodak Black, Young M.A., and Noah Cyrus were also up for the award.
Khalid is currently on “The American Teen Tour,” which is set to end Sept. 21 in San Francisco.
