New Music: Maxo Kream feat. Lil Uzi Vert - 'Mars'

  /  09.11.2017

Lil Uzi Vert blasts off to “Mars” on his collaboration with buzzing Houston MC Maxo Kream, a lean-fueled expedition over energetic production.

Uzi handles the chorus, while flexing and boasting about his rides. “I woke up right there on Mars,” he raps. “Pull up, my car, it goes skrrrt / Flex on that bitch, I’m like, ‘Swerve!’ / Flex on that bitch ’til it hurt.”

Meanwhile, Kream seems more focused on drugs and hallucinations. “Sipping codeine for my haachoo,” raps the 27-year-old. “Xans with the lean, call that thot juice / We not congruent, I’m obtuse / I be on lean like hypotenuse / I take that acid and mushroom / Everything look like a cartoon.”

While Uzi’s Luv Is Rage 2 topped the Billboard 200, Maxo made headlines when his family was seriously impacted by Hurricane Harvey. Taking to Instagram, the rapper expressed gratitude for survival. “This last weekend really showed me how God can bless yu and test yu at the same time,” he wrote. “When word got out the my Mama Daddy(who is very sicc) lil bro and lil sis was stucc in a flooded house wit no food or lights my fans went over and saved them. Not only that that came bacc and help clean up the house.”

But Maxo is confident that his family will bounce back. “It might look like a lost but to me it’s a gain… with my faith and God and this music,” he added. “We done lost everything b4 and got it right bacc so this lil storm ain’t gonna hold us bacc. Jus make us stronger and bring us together not jus as a family but as I city.”
