A Boogie Wit Da Hoodie Performs 'Drowning' on 'TRL'
Still celebrating the release of his debut album, The Bigger Artist, A Boogie Wit Da Hoodie took over “TRL” for back-to-back performances on Monday (Oct. 16).
Hitting the Times Square studio, the Highbridge rapper delivered “Drowning” and “Say A'” in front of his hometown crowd.
“Drowning” turned out to be a regal affair. Rocking a gold crown on his head, the 21-year-old MC launched into the melodic banger while fans in the front row sang along to parts of his Kodak Black-assisted smash. Although Project Baby couldn’t be there, Artist held his own while dancing across the stage, with heavy chains around his neck. Then, he did the same with a rendition of “Say A’.”

Before taking the stage, Boogie participated in “Requisitions,” a rapid-fire Q&A with fans, where he revealed that Bruno Mars is his inspiration and that Adele is an artist he’d love to work with.
Plus, the XXL Freshman spoke about the success of his debut. “I’m excited,” he said. “I’m even more excited about this tour that’s coming up.”
Next up, Boogie will hit the road on a headlining tour, starting Oct. 19 in Santa Ana, Calif.
