A$AP Ferg Performs 'Plain Jane' on 'TRL'

A$AP Ferg was the latest star to take the stage on MTV’s revamped series with a performance of “Plain Jane.”

Standing on top of the show’s digital stage, the Trap Lord launched into his Three 6 Mafia-inspired banger off Still Striving. Fans chanted along to the song’s raunchy lyrics, while he bounced around the in-studio set in a flannel-denim coat and hoodie.

Like many of the show’s guests, Ferg stuck around for a variety of segments, including “Instant Hit,” where he joined host D.C. Young Fly in an impromptu cypher.

Elsewhere on the show, Ferg spoke about Demi Lovato and DJ Khaled’s upcoming tour, saying that he wants to get in the studio with Asahd Khaled soon. Plus, he talked about wanting to collaborate with Kid Cudi.

During one of the segments, Ferg spoke about Nicki Minaj and sexism in hip-hop. “It’s always been tough being a female,” he said. “I was raised by a bunch of females, my moms, my aunts, and everything, and I always want to see the ladies win.”
